Amendment No. 1 Energy Consumption Labeling for Light-duty Vehicles—Part 2: Off-vehicle-chargeable Hybrid Electric Vehicles and Battery Electric Vehicles (Daft))
Abstract
This amendment applies to energy consumption labeling for off-vehicle-chargeable hybrid electric vehicles and battery electric vehicles. It proposes changing the high- and low-temperature driving-range labeling for battery electric passenger vehicles from allowing measured values or industry-average values to requiring measured values. Light-duty commercial vehicles may display the corresponding measured driving range or the industry-average reduction rate relative to the type-approval value; such information may be omitted before industry-average data are published. It also revises the BEV driving-range labeling format and the extended-information requirements for different air-conditioning and heating test scenarios.
