Amendment No. 1 Limits and Evaluation Indicators of Fuel Consumption for Light Commercial Vehicles (Draft for Comments)

This amendment applies to manufacturers of light commercial vehicles and the evaluation of fuel consumption for relevant vehicle models. It revises the determination and conversion methods for fuel or electricity consumption of off-vehicle-chargeable hybrid electric vehicles, off-vehicle-chargeable fuel cell vehicles, and non-off-vehicle-chargeable fuel cell vehicles, and deletes certain provisions under which converted fuel consumption is counted as zero through 2030. It adds methods, target values, and annual requirements for calculating corporate average CO2 emissions, and requires fuel-consumption target values for flatbed trucks and multipurpose trucks to be calculated by multiplying the applicable target values by 1.05.
