Abstract
This document specifies a method for determining total sulfur content in coking oil products using high-temperature combustion infrared spectrometry. It applies to coking oil products with a water content below 0.5%, including coal tar, cresol oil, carbon black oil, wash oil and anthracene oil, as well as light oils such as coking benzene, crude benzene, pure pyridine and industrial toluene. Relevant production, testing and quality-control entities shall conduct total sulfur testing in accordance with the specified method. The applicable total sulfur mass-fraction range is 0.01% to 1.5%.
