Determination of residual volatile methyl cyclosiloxane and methyl vinyl cyclosiloxane content in silicone rubber

This standard applies to the determination of residual volatile methyl cyclosiloxane and methyl vinyl cyclosiloxane content in silicone rubber, and is relevant to silicone rubber manufacturers, inspection and testing bodies, and related product quality-control activities. As a recommended national standard of the test-method type, it provides a unified technical basis for testing, result evaluation, and quality control of relevant residual cyclosiloxanes. It fully replaces GB/T 28112-2011, expands the analytes covered, and adds requirements for determining methyl vinyl cyclosiloxane content on the basis of the former determination of residual volatile methyl cyclosiloxanes.
