Draft Amendment to Points 8 and 9 of the Bulletin on Objects and Means of Restricting the Use of Online Shopping Packaging

The draft applies to entities subject to restrictions on online shopping packaging. In response to amendments to the Resource Circulation Promotion Act and the integration of restriction provisions under the Waste Disposal Act, it adjusts the legal authorization and penalty bases without changing existing obligations concerning packaging materials, product packaging weight ratios, recycled-content or recovered-paper proportions, packaging weight-reduction rates, reusable box or bag utilization rates, and annual results reporting. Violations of Point 3(1) or Point 4(1) will be penalized under Article 39, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 1 of the Resource Circulation Promotion Act; violations concerning packaging materials, reduction targets, reporting, record retention, or correction obligations will be penalized under Article 44, Paragraph 2 of the same Act.
