General Requirements for Traceability Management of Circular Materials and Associated Products (Draft for Comments)
Abstract
This document applies to upstream and downstream entities in the circular materials and associated products supply chain, including points of origin, collection, processing, warehousing and logistics, and traders; it may also be used by third-party bodies for evaluation. Entities are required to establish a traceability management system covering planning, implementation, checking and continual improvement; define their roles, risks and traceability methods; and ensure bidirectional lifecycle traceability, unique identification, and truthful and accurate information. Entities shall standardize the collection, recording and transfer of material-flow and transaction information, use chain-of-custody models such as identity preserved, segregated, controlled blending, mass balance or book and claim, calculate conversion factors and circular material and associated product content, and prepare traceability reports.
