Green Product Assessment—Air Cleaning Equipment

This standard applies to air cleaning equipment capable of removing one or more target pollutants from indoor air, including return-circulation air cleaners and fresh-air purification units. Manufacturers shall comply with pollutant discharge and total-emission control requirements, operate quality and environmental management systems, and have had no major safety accidents or major environmental pollution incidents in the preceding three years. Products shall meet requirements on safety, performance, energy efficiency, packaging and instructions, disclose restricted substances, recycling, filter replacement or electrostatic-filter cleaning and maintenance information, and satisfy green assessment indicators concerning resource utilization, purification performance, standby power, noise, hazardous substances, packaging and carbon footprint.
