Green Product Assessment—Cast Iron Pipe

This standard applies to the green product assessment of ductile iron pipes and grey cast iron pipes, including fittings. Manufacturers shall comply with requirements on pollutant discharge, total pollutant control, and storage of general industrial solid waste and hazardous waste; shall have had no major safety accidents or major environmental pollution incidents in the preceding three years; shall not use eliminated or prohibited technologies, processes, equipment, or substances; and shall establish quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, and energy management systems. Products shall meet the relevant national standards and be assessed against resource, energy, environmental, quality, and low-carbon indicators, with supporting evidence or reports on water use, energy consumption, scrap reuse, coatings, emission control, performance testing, and carbon footprint quantification.
