Green Product Assessment—Steel Bars

This standard applies to the assessment of green reinforcing steel products, including hot-rolled ribbed steel bars and cold-rolled ribbed steel bars for reinforced concrete. Manufacturers shall operate lawfully, have had no major safety accidents or major environmental pollution incidents in the preceding three years, refrain from using eliminated or prohibited technologies, processes, equipment, or substances, and establish quality, energy, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems. Enterprises shall standardize metering and the management of solid and hazardous wastes, install pollution-control and monitoring equipment, and comply with emission, total pollutant control, and pollutant discharge permit requirements. Products shall comply with applicable reinforcing steel standards and be assessed as green products or green benchmark products against resource, energy, environmental, quality, and carbon-efficiency indicators, with test reports, calculations, and supporting evidence provided.
