Green Product Assessment—Steel Plate, Sheet and Strip

This standard applies to green product assessment of hot-rolled single-rolled steel plates, hot-rolled steel plates and strips, cold-rolled steel plates and strips, continuously hot-dip coated steel plates and strips, and colour-coated steel plates and strips. It does not apply to cold-rolled electrical steel strips (sheets), continuously electroplated steel plates and strips, or stainless-steel plates and strips. Manufacturers shall operate lawfully, have had no major safety accidents or major environmental pollution incidents in the preceding three years, establish management systems for quality, energy, environment, and occupational health and safety, and properly manage energy and water metering, solid and hazardous waste disposal, and pollutant emissions. Products shall comply with relevant quality standards and be assessed as green products or green benchmark products against resource, energy, environmental and quality indicators, with supporting evidence for water withdrawal, energy consumption, carbon emissions and scrap ratio.
