Green Product Assessment—Steel Sections

This standard applies to green product assessment of hot-rolled I-beams, channel sections, angle sections and H-sections. Manufacturers shall meet basic requirements on pollutant emissions, total pollutant control, management of solid and hazardous wastes, prohibition of eliminated processes, product quality, and quality, energy, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems, as well as energy and water metering. Assessment covers water consumption, water reuse, recovery of scrap steel and mill scale, process energy consumption, air pollutant emissions, product quality and carbon footprint; enterprises shall calculate the prescribed indicators and provide supporting evidence and carbon footprint reports.
