Implementation Rules for Guangdong Province Product Quality Supervision Spot Checks of Automotive Gasoline Detergent Additives (2026 Edition)

These rules apply to product quality supervision spot checks of automotive gasoline detergent additives offered for sale by producers and sellers in Guangdong Province. Sampling is conducted randomly, with two portions of no less than 350 mL taken from each batch, one for testing and one as a reserve sample. Tests cover pour point, closed-cup flash point, sulfur content, chlorine content, rust-prevention performance or degree of corrosion, demulsibility, and simulated intake-valve deposit mass. Determinations are made against GB 19592-2019, currently valid enterprise, association and local standards, and declared product quality requirements. A product is deemed compliant where all tested items pass; failure of any item results in a non-compliant determination. Where declared requirements conflict with or omit mandatory-standard requirements, mandatory standards apply; for recommended standards, declared requirements generally apply or the item is excluded from determination.
