Implementation Rules for Guangdong Province Product Quality Supervision Spot Checks of Engine Lubricating Oils (2026 Edition)

This document applies to product quality supervision spot checks of engine lubricating oils in Guangdong Province. Samples shall be randomly taken from products offered for sale by producers and sellers, with two portions of no less than 3 L or 3 kg per batch; sampling of large packages or finished-product tanks shall follow GB/T 4756—2015. Testing covers low-temperature cranking viscosity, low-temperature pumping performance, kinematic viscosity at 100°C, pour point, water content, foaming characteristics, evaporation loss, mechanical impurities, open-cup flash point, and phosphorus content. Products shall be assessed against GB 11121—2025, GB 11122—2025, and valid enterprise, association, local standards and declared quality requirements; failure of any tested item results in a determination of nonconformity.
