Guidelines for Digital and Intelligent Construction of Lightning Protection System Monitoring
Abstract
This document applies to the digital and intelligent monitoring construction of lightning protection systems for buildings, structures, and outdoor instruments and equipment. It provides technical recommendations on data acquisition, communications networks, data processing and storage, and terminal display systems. Monitoring systems should support grounding resistance, lightning current, and SPD operating-status monitoring, data transmission and storage, graded abnormality alarms, and query and management functions. Data acquisition equipment should store data for at least one year, and database data should be retained for at least five years. Upon an alarm, relevant parts should be inspected, causes investigated, and handling records reported. Equipment in explosive atmospheres should preferably be maintained every six months, and equipment in other locations every 12 months.
