Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES) and Building Automation and Control Systems (BACS)—Part 4: General Functional Safety Requirements for Products Intended to Be Integrated in HBES and BACS

This standard applies to products intended to be integrated into home and building electronic systems and building automation and control systems, and specifies general functional safety requirements for such products. Manufacturers, integrators, and testing and assessment bodies of relevant products shall conduct product design, functional safety analysis, verification, and assessment in accordance with this standard, ensuring that products provide the corresponding functional safety performance under system integration and intended conditions of use. The standard is identical to IEC 63044-4:2021 and applies to relevant electrical products used in home and building automation and control scenarios.
