Head-feed Combine Harvester—Evaluation Index and Measurement Methods for Fuel Consumption (Draft for Comments)
Abstract
Applicable to head-feed combine harvesters, this document specifies evaluation indices for fuel consumption under rated operating conditions, fuel-consumption grades, test conditions, and measurement methods. For rice harvesting, fuel consumption per hectare is subject to a correction factor depending on whether a straw chopping device is fitted; the Grade 1, Grade 2, and Grade 3 limits are no more than 16.5k, 20.0k, and 23.5k kg/hm², respectively. Grade 3 is the fuel-consumption limit, Grade 2 is the energy-saving evaluation value, and Grade 1 is the premium energy-saving evaluation limit. Testing shall meet specified meteorological, paddy-field, crop, sample-machine, and instrument conditions; it shall be conducted at full cutting width with compliant operating performance, use the arithmetic mean of three valid measurements, and exclude periods when the diesel engine particulate filter is regenerating.
