Abstract

This addendum applies to shippers, operators and other air cargo participants transporting dangerous goods under the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. It revises the exception applicable to lithium batteries installed in data loggers and cargo tracking devices, adjusts the numbering of provisions on spare lithium batteries and the prohibition on their carriage in checked baggage, and updates detonator entries in the List of Dangerous Goods, Special Provision A116, and sodium-ion battery UN-number requirements for battery marks. It also amends shipper declaration requirements, air waybill information and operator acceptance procedures, and updates the acceptance procedures summary for sodium-ion batteries transported with equipment.
