Industrial Chemicals Charges (Excise) Regulations 2020 (2026 Bound Volume)

The Regulations apply to persons introducing relevant industrial chemicals in Australia who are required to register under the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019. They prescribe registration charges calculated in value bands according to the value of relevant industrial chemicals introduced in the preceding financial year. Naturally occurring chemicals, non-isolated intermediates, incidentally introduced chemicals, chemicals released to maintain equipment, chemicals unintentionally released from articles, and imported chemicals remaining under customs control and leaving Australia within 25 working days are excluded. The Regulations also provide application and transitional arrangements for the 2023, 2024 and 2026 amendments.
