Industrial Chemicals Environmental Management (Register) Amendment Rules 2026

This instrument applies to entities dealing with industrial chemicals regulated under the Industrial Chemicals Environmental Management (Register) Rules 2022. It adds definitions of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal and the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, and adds both instruments to the international agreements listed in section 7. When applying the Register Rules, relevant entities must take these two international instruments into account as applicable bases for environmental management, transboundary movements of hazardous wastes, and management of ozone-depleting substances.
