Information requirements for assessment certificate applications – specified classes of introduction(Draft)

This applies to businesses, industry representatives, consultants and agents that supply, manufacture or import industrial chemicals in Australia and apply for an assessment certificate for a specified class of introduction. In addition to the standard application information, applicants must submit targeted information required for each specified class through IUCLID, or request a waiver, to support assessment of risks to human health and the environment. It covers uses or classes including food-contact articles, tattoo inks, children's toys or children's products, UV filters and persistent gases; chemicals already listed on the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals, typical chemical introductions and assessment certificate applications for designated fluorinated chemicals are excluded.
