Jiangsu Province Implementation Rules for Product Quality Supervision Spot Checks of Synthetic Resin Emulsion Interior Wall Coatings (2026 Edition)

These Rules apply to quality supervision spot-check testing of synthetic resin emulsion interior wall coatings offered for sale by manufacturers in Jiangsu Province and prescribe sampling, testing and determination requirements. At least 6 kg of interior wall topcoat shall be sampled, with at least 3 kg each for testing and reserve samples; where a matching primer is required, at least 1 kg of primer shall be sampled. Key tests cover VOCs, SVOCs, formaldehyde, total benzene homologues, lead, arsenic, soluble cadmium, chromium and mercury, APEOs, MIT, low-temperature stability, low-temperature film formation, contrast ratio, alkali resistance and scrub resistance. Products subject to enterprise, association or local standards shall be tested by reference. Any failed test item results in a determination of nonconformity, subject to mandatory standards and declared product quality requirements.
