Metering Pump (Draft for Comments)
Abstract
Applicable to plunger metering pumps and diaphragm metering pumps for liquid transfer, this standard specifies requirements for procurement information confirmation, design and manufacture, components, performance, reliability, testing and inspection, delivery protection, marking, packaging and storage. Manufacturers shall ensure conformity with approved drawings and technical documents and provide selection information such as medium temperature and viscosity. Pressure-bearing components shall undergo hydrostatic testing, and products shall meet requirements for cleanliness, noise, vibration, metering accuracy and service life of wearing parts. Diaphragm metering pumps shall be used for corrosive, toxic, flammable or explosive media, and diaphragm rupture alarm devices are recommended. The draft is intended to replace GB/T 7782—2020, adding hazardous-medium safety requirements and references on vibration and cleanliness, while deleting requirements on volumetric coefficient, efficiency and power testing.
