Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Refrigerating Appliances for Medical, Laboratory and Similar Purposes (Draft for Comments)
Abstract
The draft applies to refrigerating appliances for medical, laboratory and similar purposes that use closed motor-driven compression refrigeration, have a volume not exceeding 1,800 L, and are intended for storage, including medical or laboratory refrigerators, refrigerator-freezers and freezers. It excludes household refrigerators, pharmaceutical cool cabinets, transport boxes, cold stores and incubators with refrigeration functions. It proposes product classifications, reference energy consumption, five energy-efficiency grades and minimum allowable energy-efficiency values, with the maximum energy-efficiency index for Grade 5 serving as the minimum threshold. It also specifies tests and permissible deviations for volume, energy consumption and energy-efficiency index. Products manufactured or imported before implementation would be subject to the standard from the 24th month after implementation.
