Notice on the Schedule for Notifications of Manufacture and Import of Small-Quantity New Chemical Substances for Fiscal Year 2026

This notice applies to applicants seeking confirmation for the manufacture or import of small-quantity new chemical substances under the Act on the Evaluation of Chemical Substances and Regulation of Their Manufacture, etc. Applicants must submit documents during the acceptance period for each round through electronic filing, optical-disc mailing, or paper mailing. The third round accepts only optical-disc submissions, while the fifth and sixth rounds accept only electronic submissions. From the fourth round onward, applicant codes will no longer be used; applicants must obtain an eligible G Biz ID by July 2026. Manufacture or import may in principle commence only after receipt of a confirmation notice; for the first round, it must commence on or after 1 April 2026.
