Paints and varnishes—Methods of exposure to laboratory light sources—Part 2: Xenon-arc lamps
Abstract
This standard applies to laboratory light exposure testing of paints, varnishes and related coating materials, and specifies methods for artificial weathering and lightfastness evaluation using xenon-arc lamps to simulate solar radiation. Relevant manufacturers, testing bodies and users conducting tests on the weather resistance, light resistance and ageing performance of coatings shall comply with requirements for xenon-arc equipment, filter systems, exposure conditions, specimen preparation, test procedures and evaluation of results. This standard is identical to ISO 16474-2:2013 and fully replaces GB/T 1865-2009.
