Paper Underpants (Draft for Comments)

Applicable to paper underpants (disposable underpants) mainly made of nonwoven fabric, the draft specifies product classification, raw material, technical and hygiene requirements, test methods, inspection, marking, packaging, transport and storage. Raw materials must not be discarded, previously used, toxic or hazardous materials. Products must meet requirements for basis weight, tensile strength, air permeability, pH, colour-release performance, appearance, use and sizing, and are subject to limits for migratable fluorescent substances, formaldehyde, phthalates and decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes. Sales packaging must indicate the product name, standard number, responsible entity, specifications, raw materials and date information; products may leave the factory only after passing inspection.
