Abstract

This amendment applies to operators in Korea that manufacture, use, keep, or store hazardous chemicals, and determines the applicability of requirements under the Chemicals Control Act by comparing maximum holding quantities with prescribed quantities. Following the designation of new hazardous chemicals, it adds minimum, lower, and upper prescribed quantities for 38 substances in Appendix 2, including low-diffusion prescribed quantities for seven newly designated substances. It also supplements names of substances hazardous to human health, corrects errors, and adjusts certain provisions. Accident preparedness substances are subject to the prescribed quantities in Appendix 3.
