Periodical Inspection Regulation for City Gas Pressure Pipelines and Thermal Pressure Pipelines (Draft for Comments)

This Regulation applies to periodic inspections of GB1 gas pipelines and GB2 thermal pipelines within the scope of the Catalogue of Special Equipment. Users shall formulate inspection plans, apply for inspections, provide true and complete documentation, rectify issues identified through periodic inspections and annual checks, and retain feedback records. Inspection bodies shall hold the relevant qualifications, prepare approved inspection plans, conduct document reviews, on-site inspections, fitness-for-service assessments or risk-based inspections in accordance with law, and be responsible for the authenticity, accuracy and validity of reports. Periodic inspections shall be based on annual checks; no periodic inspection may be conducted where no annual check has been carried out in that year. Relevant data shall be uploaded promptly to the national pressure pipeline information management system.
