Petroleum and natural gas industries—Completion fluids and materials—Part 3: Testing of heavy brines

This standard applies to the testing of heavy-brine completion fluids and related materials used in petroleum and natural gas exploration and production activities. It specifies test method requirements for heavy-brine performance and provides a uniform basis for quality evaluation, preparation and use, and technical control of completion fluids. Petroleum and natural gas extraction, drilling, and completion service entities should conduct testing, acceptance, and quality control of heavy brines in accordance with the specified test methods. This standard is a modified adoption of ISO 13503-3:2022.
