This standard applies to operations involving the handling of streams with high CO2 content at high pressures on offshore petroleum and natural gas platforms, and provides technical specifications for such handling methods. It is a modified adoption of ISO 17349:2016 and covers scenarios involving exploration and drilling equipment on offshore platforms. Relevant petroleum and natural gas extraction enterprises and offshore petroleum engineering entities should conduct the design, operation and technical management of such stream handling in accordance with this standard to control operational safety risks arising from high pressure and CO2 media.
