Plastics—Aminoplastic moulding materials—Determination of volatile matter

This standard specifies a method for determining volatile matter in aminoplastic moulding materials and applies to thermosetting plastics such as amino resin moulding materials. Relevant manufacturers, testing laboratories and product quality control entities shall conduct specimen preparation, heating and drying, and mass determination in accordance with the prescribed method, and calculate volatile matter content from the change in mass before and after testing for product quality evaluation and consistency control. This standard is modified in relation to ISO 3671:2023 and fully replaces GB/T 13455-1992, Test Method for Volatile Matter in Aminoplastic Moulding Materials.
