Plastics—Glass Fiber Reinforced Poly(decamethylene terephthalamide) Compound (Draft for Comments)
Abstract
This document applies to the production and inspection of compounds made by melt blending poly(decamethylene terephthalamide) resin with glass fiber and, where applicable, flame retardants, flame-retardant synergists and processing additives; it does not apply to modified materials reinforced with non-glass-fiber fillers such as mineral fillers. It specifies requirements for material designation, appearance, resin properties, and properties of products with different glass-fiber contents and flame-retardant types, and requires products to meet restricted-substance limits. Manufacturers shall conduct sampling, type inspection and factory inspection as specified, mark packaging with the manufacturer, grade, batch number, net content, production date and standard number, and comply with packaging, transport and storage requirements.
