Abstract

This standard applies to the determination of metal content in polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) resins, providing an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry method for plastic resin producers, testing laboratories, and relevant users. Relevant entities may use this method to analyze metal element content in resin samples to support raw-material quality control, product testing, and monitoring of metal impurities. This standard is modified in relation to ISO 24047:2021 and is a recommended national standard.
