Protection against lightning—Part 2: Risk management

This standard applies to lightning risk management for structures, their internal systems, service facilities and persons, and provides a risk assessment method for determining the need for lightning protection measures and protection levels. Relevant design, construction, operation, maintenance and lightning protection inspection activities may use the standard to identify risks of injury to persons, physical damage, failure of internal systems and interruption of services caused by lightning, determine tolerable risk, and select corresponding protective measures. The standard is identical to IEC 62305-2:2024 and fully replaces GB/T 21714.2-2015.
