Publicly Notified New Chemical Substances for Fiscal Year Reiwa 8

This notice applies to new chemical substances newly manufactured or imported in Japan and notified under the Act on the Evaluation of Chemical Substances and Regulation of Their Manufacture, etc. Pursuant to Article 4, paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Act, it publishes the names and reference numbers of notified new chemical substances numbered 1823 through 1860, and determines certain substances to be specified new chemical substances under any item of Article 2, paragraph 8. Relevant manufacturers and importers shall confirm the regulatory classification based on the notice and comply with subsequent management requirements applicable to general chemical substances or specified new chemical substances. The separately published biodegradability and bioaccumulation determinations show that all listed substances are poorly biodegradable and not highly bioaccumulative.
