Abstract

This standard applies to gold and gold-alloy materials initially classified and recovered in the precious metals industry, covering recycled gold products, gold-containing composites, electronic recyclables, gold-containing catalysts, gold-containing residues, and gold-containing recovery liquids. Suppliers shall classify materials by category and group without mixed loading, and meet applicable requirements for gold content, particle size, moisture content, and control of hazardous substances. Materials shall not contain radioactive substances, sealed containers, medical waste, household waste, or flammable and explosive materials. Suppliers shall inspect environmentally harmful inclusions and radioactive contaminants. Each batch shall carry labels and accompanying documents; liquid, powder, and granular materials shall be packaged to prevent leakage and contamination, while hazardous materials shall be transported and stored in accordance with hazardous-waste storage requirements.
