Recycled Silver Material

This standard applies to silver and silver-alloy materials initially sorted and recovered in the precious-metals industry, covering silver products, industrial alloys, electronic materials, industrial powders, and other silver-containing materials. Suppliers shall control silver content by category and grade; materials shall be free of obvious inclusions and comply with radioactive contaminant limits, and different categories shall not be mixed. Sampling, testing, and conformity determination shall follow the prescribed methods, and suppliers shall inspect each batch for appearance, chemical composition, and radioactive contaminants. Shipments shall carry labels and accompanying documents. During transport, handling, and storage, materials shall be protected from mixing with, or contamination by, explosives, flammables, and toxic substances; liquid materials shall be kept in dedicated containers to prevent leakage.
