Requirements for the Chain of Custody Managing System of Recycled Plastics

This standard applies to the establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement of chain-of-custody management systems throughout the recycled plastics supply chain, including waste plastic sourcing, collection, recycling processing and sales of recycled plastics. Relevant organizations shall establish a traceable management system, define responsibilities and authorities, control raw material procurement, processing, product delivery and outsourced processes, and retain records of sources, quantities, quality and flows to ensure that recycled plastics claims are truthful and verifiable. Organizations shall also conduct internal audits and management reviews, address nonconformities and continually improve system operation.
