Revised Requirements for 24-Hour Emergency Response Number (FRG-07 and JL-11)
Abstract
This applies to dangerous goods shipments to or from France and to dangerous goods transported by Japan Airlines. Shippers must provide, on the Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods, a 24-hour emergency telephone number including the country and area codes. The number must be continuously monitored by a person knowledgeable of the hazards and characteristics of the dangerous goods and of emergency response and accident mitigation information, or by a person able to immediately contact such a knowledgeable person. Under the French variation, the information is not required where no transport document is required. Under the Japan Airlines variation, a 24-hour emergency telephone number is not required where a Shipper's Declaration for Dangerous Goods is not required.
