Safety Assessment Method for Pressure Vessels Exceeding the Design Service Life

This standard applies to safety assessments of fixed metallic pressure vessels that have exceeded their design service life. Fixed non-metallic pressure vessels may refer to it, while mobile pressure vessels are excluded. Users shall provide complete, authentic and valid equipment information and cooperate with assessments. Assessment bodies shall possess pressure-vessel inspection or safety-evaluation capabilities, establish operating guidance documents, and organize competent personnel to conduct assessments. Assessments shall identify damage modes such as corrosion thinning, environmental cracking, material degradation and mechanical damage, conduct on-site assessment, safety-risk grading, conclusion determination and report issuance, and propose risk-reduction measures and follow-up inspection recommendations.
