Safety of Power Converters for Use in Photovoltaic Power Systems—Part 1: General Requirements

This standard applies to power converters for use in photovoltaic power systems and specifies general safety requirements for such equipment, providing a technical safety basis for equipment design, manufacture, inspection and application. The standard non-equivalently adopts IEC 62109-1:2010 and concerns the safety of power conversion equipment in photovoltaic energy systems. Relevant manufacturers, testing and certification bodies, and photovoltaic power plant construction and operating entities should conduct product safety design, testing and evaluation, and compliance management in accordance with this standard.
