Seamless stainless steel pipes for liquid hydrogen storage and transportation
Abstract
This standard applies to seamless stainless steel pipes used for liquid hydrogen storage and transportation. Manufacturers and suppliers shall specify the manufacturing method, dimensional accuracy, grade, dimensions, delivery condition and special requirements; steel shall be produced by the prescribed melting methods, and pipes shall be manufactured by cold rolling (drawing) or hot rolling (extrusion) seamless processes, with required heat treatment and pickling. It specifies requirements for chemical composition, mechanical properties, low-temperature impact, hydrostatic testing, flattening or flaring, grain size, ferrite content, non-metallic inclusions, intergranular corrosion, hydrogen-environment compatibility, hydrogen embrittlement sensitivity, surface roughness, ultrasonic testing, dimensions and shape, as well as requirements for inspection, acceptance, packaging, marking and quality certificates.
