Technical Specification for Activated Carbon Treatment of Industrial Organic Waste Gas

This specification applies to industrial enterprises in furniture, wood-based panel, plastic products, packaging and printing, industrial coating, pharmaceuticals, electronics, coatings, rubber, footwear, ink, and chemical manufacturing that use activated-carbon adsorption to control volatile organic compounds. Laboratories, vehicle repair and maintenance facilities conducting spraying, and filling stations may apply it by reference. Enterprises shall pretreat waste gas through cooling, dehumidification, dust removal and other measures, and control temperature, humidity and particulate matter indicators; select activated carbon meeting technical requirements and retain batch quality inspection reports; and regulate its transport, storage, filling, replacement and disposal. Adsorption equipment shall meet requirements for structure, filling quantity and auxiliary facilities, and enterprises shall maintain activated-carbon management and equipment operation and maintenance records.
