Textiles—Determination of N-nitrosamine compounds—High performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method

This standard applies to the determination of 15 N-nitrosamine compounds in all types of textile products. Samples shall be cut, homogenized, ultrasonically extracted at the specified temperature with methanol containing the internal standard N-nitrosodi-n-propylamine-D14, filtered, and analysed by high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry equipped with an atmospheric pressure chemical ionization source. Identification is based on retention time, characteristic ions and relative ion abundance ratios, while quantification uses an internal-standard method and calibration curves. Sample responses shall fall within the instrument's linear range; samples exceeding that range shall be diluted and retested. Blank tests shall be performed, and reports shall record sample descriptions, instruments, results, deviations and test dates.
