Textiles—Test method for accelerated hydrolysis of textile materials and biodegradation under controlled composting conditions of the resulting hydrolysate

This standard specifies a test method for evaluating the biodegradation of hydrolysates obtained after accelerated hydrolysis of textile materials under controlled composting conditions. It applies to testing the compostability and biodegradation performance of textile products and materials. Relevant testing bodies, textile material manufacturers, and product development entities may use this method for specimen pretreatment, controlled composting biodegradation tests, and evaluation of results, providing a technical basis for verifying and comparing the environmental degradation performance of textile materials. This standard is a modified adoption of ISO 21701:2025.
