Abstract
This standard applies to the production, inspection and trade of assembled wooden stairs and their wooden components for use within residential buildings, and excludes wooden stairs for public places and outdoor use. Manufacturers shall classify products by material, direction, structural support, width and function. Formaldehyde emissions from raw materials for wooden components shall meet the E0 requirements of GB 18580—2025, and auxiliary materials shall comply with relevant standards. Products shall meet requirements for appearance, dimensions, physical and chemical properties, load-bearing capacity and safe design; structural wooden stairs without building foundations shall undergo overall load-bearing testing. Appearance, dimensions and physical and chemical properties shall be inspected before delivery, with type testing, sampling and conformity determination conducted as specified. Products and packaging shall indicate the product name, model, production date, formaldehyde emission grade and applicable standard number, and shall be protected against moisture, sunlight and damage during packaging, transport and storage.
