Abstract

This draft applies to computer monitors placed on the UAE market, including desktop, professional graphics, gaming, and display portions of all-in-one computers. It excludes displays smaller than 100 cm², projectors, laptops and tablets, medical imaging displays, virtual reality headsets, security and surveillance displays, industrial control panels, and interactive educational or professional displays. Products must meet limits for on-mode, standby, off-mode, and networked standby power consumption, as well as peak white luminance and automatic standby requirements, and must be assigned a star rating based on the Energy Efficiency Index. A clearly visible energy label must be displayed on the product or packaging at the point of sale, stating the QR code, star rating, EEI, power consumption, annual energy consumption, screen size, resolution, model identifier, and other required information.
