Implementation Rules for Guangdong Province Product Quality Supervision Spot Checks on Motor Vehicle Brake Fluids (2026 Edition)

This document applies to product quality supervision spot checks on motor vehicle brake fluids in Guangdong Province. Samples shall be randomly taken from products offered for sale by producers and sellers; each batch shall include no fewer than two individual packages with a total volume of at least 1.6 L, with one sample for testing and one retained as a backup. Test items include kinematic viscosity at -40°C and 100°C, equilibrium reflux boiling point, wet equilibrium reflux boiling point, pH value, and evaporation performance. Products shall be assessed against GB 12981—2012, currently valid enterprise, association, and local standards, and declared quality requirements. Products passing all items are deemed to have no nonconformities; failure of any item results in a nonconforming determination. Where declared requirements conflict with or omit mandatory standard requirements, mandatory standards shall govern the determination.
