Notice of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment on the Implementation by Enterprises in Relevant Industries of Special Discharge Limits for Category I Water Pollutants under National Pollutant Discharge Standards

This Notice applies to enterprises in relevant industries within the administrative area of Shanghai that are covered by the national pollutant discharge standards listed in the annex, including landfill, chemical, petrochemical and petroleum refining, non-ferrous metals, iron and steel, electroplating, leather processing, textile dyeing and finishing, battery, and ceramics industries. Such enterprises shall fully comply with the special discharge limits for Category I water pollutants prescribed by the current national pollutant discharge standards. Where Shanghai local pollutant discharge standards prescribe stricter discharge limits for Category I water pollutants than the national special discharge limits, the stricter local requirements shall apply.
